Cancellation Policy

BASK Gili Meno is a 31-villa resort. Our small inventory and remote island location mean a late cancellation cannot easily be re-sold, so we apply different cancellation, no-show, and modification terms in each season. This policy forms part of our Terms & Conditions.

1. Season definitions

  • Standard: May to mid-June and mid-September to mid-November.
  • High: mid-June to mid-September (approximately 15 June – 15 September), the April school break, and mid-November to 19 December.
  • Peak / Festive: 20 December to 5 January, Chinese New Year week, Eid al-Fitr week, and Easter week.

The exact dates for variable festive periods (Chinese New Year, Eid, Easter) will be stated in your booking confirmation. The policy that applies to your reservation is the one in force at the date your booking is confirmed.

A no-show is treated as a cancellation on the scheduled arrival date and is charged at the "100% charge" rate for the applicable season.

3. Peak / Festive minimum stay & specific terms

  • A minimum stay of 5 nights applies to Peak / Festive periods.
  • The 50% deposit at booking is non-refundable from the moment of confirmation.
  • No early-departure refund is given. Guests who depart earlier than their booked check-out remain liable for the full stay.
  • Date changes are not permitted after the deposit has been taken; any change is treated as a new booking.

4. Date changes & modifications

Date changes are accommodated where possible, subject to availability and any rate difference. A change requested outside the applicable season's free-cancel window may be made without charge, once. Date changes requested inside a paid window will be treated as a cancellation followed by a new booking, and the relevant cancellation charges in Section 2 will apply. Reductions in the length of stay or the number of villas after the free-cancel window are treated as a partial cancellation.

5. Early departure

No refund is provided for unused nights when a guest departs earlier than the confirmed check-out date for any reason, including changes of plan, weather, or onward travel decisions.

6. Force Majeure (including war, airspace closure & flight disruption)

Where a guest is unable to arrive, or BASK is unable to host a guest, because of an event beyond either party's reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, earthquake, tsunami, volcanic activity, severe weather, fire, flood, pandemic or epidemic, government action, border or visa-on-arrival closure, civil unrest, terrorism, war or armed conflict (whether declared or undeclared, international or domestic), hostilities, sanctions or trade restrictions, cyber-attack, airspace closure, diversion or suspension of commercial aviation, airline insolvency or cancellation of routes, or a "do not travel" or equivalent advisory issued by the guest's national government or by Indonesian authorities (each a "Force Majeure Event"), cancellation will be handled as follows:

  • BASK will use reasonable endeavours to offer the guest the choice of rescheduling the booking to alternative dates within 12 months of the original arrival date, subject to availability and any rate difference for the new period.
  • Where rescheduling is not workable, BASK will offer a resort credit for the value of payments made, valid 12 months from the original arrival date.
  • Reschedules and resort credits may be transferred to a member of the original booking party with our prior written consent.
  • Where a cash refund is given (at our sole discretion or where required by law), it will be net of any non-recoverable amounts already paid to third-party suppliers, including inbound transfer operators, helicopter charters, and event vendors.
  • Force Majeure does not automatically apply where commercial airlines continue to operate routes to Bali or Lombok and the guest has chosen not to travel.

We strongly recommend that all guests hold comprehensive travel and medical insurance covering trip interruption, cancellation, and disruption caused by the events listed above.

7. Refunds, credits & processing

  • Cash refunds are issued to the original payment method only.
  • Bank charges, foreign-exchange differences, and credit-card processing fees are deducted from refunds.
  • Refunds are processed within 14 business days of confirmation; settlement to the guest's account depends on the issuing bank.
  • Resort credits are non-transferable except as set out in Section 6, are valid for the period stated on issue, and cannot be redeemed for cash.

8. Pre-authorisation & on-property charges

At check-in, BASK may pre-authorise a hold on your payment card to cover food and beverage, spa, activities, and incidentals. This is not a charge; it ring-fences capacity on the card. Final charges are settled on check-out and are separate from the cancellation amounts in this policy.

9. Termination by BASK

BASK reserves the right to terminate a stay without refund where the guest engages in illegal activity, refuses to pay outstanding charges, smokes inside a villa, or behaves in a manner that is disruptive, threatening, abusive, or damaging to the property or other guests. 10. Group bookings, weddings & private events

Bookings of multiple villas, weddings, and private events are handled under a separate written agreement that supersedes this policy in respect of deposit, cancellation, and event charges. Please contact info@baskgilimeno.com for terms.

This Cancellation Policy is governed exclusively by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, with the express exclusion of the laws of any other country, in line with our Terms & Conditions.
